Technical documentation.
NOT AN EASY TASK

There is a great deal to consider when translating technical documentation. Many years of experience in the (specialist) field, sound knowledge of language engineering, standards and terminology, and open communication with the customer are the nuts and bolts of any good translation. With a history spanning almost 75 years, we are not just one of the most experienced German translation service providers, but also feel fitter than ever when it comes to technical translation.

Requirements for a good technical translation

Different file formats require different processing steps so that the translation of technical documentation can be done in clearly structured and well-prepared files in the translation environment. The use of a suitable TM system, as well as the use or development of specialist and/or customer-specific terminology must be guaranteed.

Customer and project-specific specifications and standards must be correctly understood and implemented accordingly. In addition to a university degree in languages, the translator must above all have a technical understanding and be familiar with the subject matter.

Our expertise: Quality and efficiency in translation management

Taking the agreed objectives, framework conditions, standards and rules into account, a translation process for technical documentation is implemented that is tailored to the customer’s needs. When processing the files, it makes no difference whether they are FrameMaker, InDesign files, or even outputs from CMS systems in XML or HTML. We are familiar with all common formats. Our almost 75 years of experience in translation, networked global operations and satisfied customers are what drives us.
