MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY.
FOR US IT’S NOT TECHNICAL JARGON, BUT SERVICE OUT OF PASSION

Translations in the field of medical technology require precise specialist knowledge, high linguistic competence and a good basic understanding of medicine. The information that has to be provided about a medical device is becoming increasingly complex and shared across many channels. A technical translator has to work as part of a team and, above all, in a network, since a wide variety of documents from the fields of product approval, clinical studies, technical documentation, marketing, blog posts, online studies and product training, etc. need to be translated. It is extremely important to always be up-to-date, to gather information via specialist media and to stay in close contact with the customer. Specialist knowledge in this field is changing and expanding at a rapid pace: few industries invest as much in research, development and studies as medical technology.

The need for translations with specialised terminology, complex Anglicisms and detailed context is also developing at a similar pace. It is therefore equally important that, in addition to the appropriate teams and specialist translators, customer and project specifications are correctly understood and implemented accordingly. The use of a suitable computer-aided translation system with integrated translation memory and glossary/terminology management component, correct preparation of the files to be translated and the use of specialist and/or customer-specific glossaries must be guaranteed.
