Improving translation processes and saving costs:here’s how!

With a joint ramp-up project for more quality and efficiency in translation management. A win-win situation for you but for EnssnerZeitgeist too. We give you access  to our profound expertise in translation and you save both money and resources.

This business has long since ceased to be about “pure” translation from A into B. What is needed are flexible and targeted solutions to ensure translation quality, price and adherence to deadlines. We talk about translation management in this context. In addition to transparent and secure order processing, through our customer portal among others, this entails much more. For example, the handling of a wide range of file formats from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, FrameMaker to XML outputs from PIM, CMS and ERP solutions. This can hardly be done anymore without the use of translation technologies (language technology). It’s just not possible without translation memories and glossaries or terminology databases, but also the use of artificial intelligence (neural machine translation).

Over the last 10 to 15 years EnssnerZeitgeist has developed from a classic translation agency to a modern one-stop language service provider that is used to managing almost any type of content efficiently. These many years of experience in on-boarding new customers and in supporting existing customers have resulted in the creation of a multi-stage ramp-up process. First, measurable objectives are defined and appropriate measures are determined in the individual ramp-up phases and then an actual/target comparison is made over a period of time with regard to the initial situation.

We usually start with a 3-stage ramp- up projectwith our customers.

1.) Kick-off meeting with stock take

2.) Definition of measures and objectives

3.) Actual/target monitoring

Bottom line: we were able to reduce translation costs for our client Atlas Copco by a six-figure amount while increasing volume. This huge saving is the result of a joint ramp-up project with specifications for centralised data handling via our customer portal, optimised data preparation/postprocessing, TM maintenance and coordination in terms of translation-oriented writing.
